So a few people have popped me with the question: So what did you think of your @dupefactorie unicorn brushes? And I kinda realized the other day I've been quiet on the topic so here's my honest opinion:
At first glance they look incredible, nothing like we've ever seen before and as soon as Dupe Factorie announced that they would be selling these I immediately jumped on the pre-order wagon. First of all the handles looked a lot different to how they were advertised, I felt that their pictures were over saturated/edited giving you the illusion that the brushes were more colorful than they actually were. The handles ended up looking like a glossy grey color to me and weren't very colorful. Then I paid about R550 for this set of brushes but I'll probably only use about 5 of them as the "eye" brushes are so big - too big to use to apply eyeshadow to your eyelid with and too small for any other part of your face, I'm not sure why they would have made the eye brushes so big, it's not useful.
The quality and texture of the brushes is nice but I didn't think this set was worth the R550 I paid for it. They make nice photo props though. Anyway so you learn, I'll stick to my eBay purchases for dupes
